Good morning:
It's a dark and dreary morning here and all I'm thinking about is scrapbooking. That's a good thing! I might even see what I can create for a little demo tonight at The Scrapbook Room. That's right! It's Wednesday and I'll be there, starting at 7 p.m. for scrapbooking and inspiration. Pack up a project or bring your basic tools and come out and play. Cost is $5.00.
I bet many of you are still inspired by CROPTOBERFEST. The weekend crop was so much fun. I think every one of the 28 ladies in attendance had a super FAB time AND either got a lot of scrapbooking done or got inspired by learning new tricks and techniques.
One of the things we did was play with composition notebooks. Not the big ones though–the little purse-sized mini ones–like these:
See? I put a pen there to give you an idea of the size. Perfect for your purse! AND. You can buy them 3 for $1.00 at Walmart Canada AND 3 for $.50 in the U.S.!
Anyway, everyone who wanted to play picked one, decorated it, turned it in and then we drew numbers to get one back for keeps.
Here's a look at all 23 that were completed!
These little minis are perfect for notes, shopping lists, inspiration, quotes, scrapbook memos and so much more. They'd also be perfect little stocking stuffers or even in place of gift tags on top of Christmas presents.
Just. So. Darned. Cute. (Zoom in and take a look!) Some were fancier than others but every single one had something fun and unique about it.
To make:
Measure paper or scraps to fit the cover. Adhere. Or paint or colour with your favourite products. Decorate with ribbon, buttons, stickers, glitter etc. as desired. Add page dividers, ribbons for bookmarks etc. to the inside and presto! Done. How simple was that?
Now, what would YOU use one for?
(When you're done thinking about that, get your scrapbook supplies ready and come on out tonight! I will be placing an order later tonight or tomorrow so be sure and let me know if you're wanting something in particular.)
