Coffee hour at The Scrapbook Room was just what we needed!

Besides sharing coffee and treats, we shared great conversation and of course, a little inspiration.

We loved Liz's gift card holders she made for Christmas giving.

We loved brainstorming with Nancy about her plans for a wall canvas with some photos she'll be adding.

To aid us with that canvas idea, we watched a video by scrapbooker Marion Smith (www.apieceofcraft.com). Marion's a fabulous scrapbooker so be sure to check out her site when you've got a minute–or an hour! The video we watched is here .

Here's a peek at her completed project.

Isn't it pretty?

We also got some inspiration from some of my favourite Stampington magazines. You can check them out for yourself on their website at www.stampington.com.

And finally, we discussed plans for the upcoming January PJ Crop. It'll be held next Saturday (the 19th) from 2 pm to midnight and Sunday (the 20th) from 8 am to 5 pm. Everyone that attended the coffee hour is registered for the crop…plus a couple of other people too. If you're planning to attend, you'd better register soon as there are only about 3 or 4 spaces left! To register and for further details just email me at thescrapbookroom@sympatico.ca or call 705.842.3132.

If you've made an art canvas, please send a photo or tell us about it. We'd love to hear what you did.

Watch for another coffee hour in February plus details on a Tuesday night scrapbook night at the shop.
