It’s Day 8 of my favourite scrapbook things!

We’re getting down to the wire. Can you believe I like so many things?

Of course you can. Because you’re a scrapbooker. You like them too! Right?

Before we get down to business, I just want to remind you this is the 8th day of my favourite things. You can see all the posts here on Facebook  and on my (new and needs lots of work!) website here. And don’t forget to comment because there could be a prize in it for you! I’ll be drawing one winner after Day 12 from all of the commenters throughout the 12 days!

Now, for today’s inspiration, I’m doing something a little different. There’s nothing in it for me! This favourite thing is not something I sell but I think it’s something you need!

Check it out!

Day 8: Scrapbook and Cards Today

Today I am featuring Scrapbook and Cards Today magazine. I’ve been a longtime subscriber and I love this magazine.

Why do I like it so much?

First of all, it’s Canadian!

Secondly, you CAN get it FREE. Online, that is. But I much prefer to hold a hard copy in my hands. I like to go through each and every page from beginning to end looking for inspiration, reading about new products and getting new ideas to bring to crops.

You may even recognize page sketches which I’ve shared with you from time to time. You can go and check out their sketches online here.

I love the articles. There’s lots of inspiration whether you’re a beginner scrapbooker or someone who loves multimedia or card making.

The pages of this magazine are so thick–and have such beautiful images, you could almost cut them up and use them in your scrapbooks. But don’t! You’ll want to keep them around for inspiration.

If you’ve attended my crops, you may have seen an issue or two lying around. I always bring a couple copies along for when scrapbookers need some inspiration or just a little reading break.

There’s a whole lot going on at the website from inspiration, subscription information, to free digital downloads and even online classes. Scrapbook & Cards Today even hosts Crop & Create events across the country. Of course, none of them are near us here in northern Ontario but we still get to take advantage of the magazine.

Here’s a look at the cover of the fall issue.

I’ve always loved a magazine to look at. As longtime scrapbookers know, there used to be several US based magazines but they’ve all folded.

I think it’s fantastic that Canada has not one, but two, scrapbooking magazines.

Now there’s two reasons you should subscribe:

  1. Because we want to make sure this fab publication sticks around!
  2. Because we all need inspiration–and you’re going to get it here!

Now, I’ve got to go…

I’ve still got some reading to do in my latest issue.
