Canon Selphy printer

I love sharing my favourite scrapbook products even when they’re things I don’t sell.

I’m sharing a great product pick with you. And you’re going to LOVE it! Many of you already own it. I got mine last year and I love it.

Sure it’s a little pricier than ordering photos from Blacks or Costco or wherever you order from. But the convenience makes it worthwhile. Add to that, the fact that I’m only printing out photos that I’m actually scrapbooking is a moneysaver alone.

So once more, I have to say it:

This printer is awesome!

The Canon Selphy printer is small enough to take with you to crops and it’s super-easy to use. Anyone can use it! Seriously. The size? It’s about 5 1/2″ x 7″ and about 2.5″ high. That’s pretty tiny!

It also comes in white.

Pictures are said to be good for 100+ years. If you’ve ever printed photos on your regular inkjet printer at home, chances are they faded away after as little as a couple of years.

I don’t know about you but I’d like my photos to stick around long after I’m gone. (My children may not want them all but I’d like them to be here! Haha!)

The Canon Selphy works wirelessly so you could print photos from your phone or tablet. You can also plug in a USB cord or stick your camera card in. There are so many options!

You buy ink and paper together in a package and for the most part, when you run out of paper, you’re out of ink.

As I said, the cost may be slightly higher than getting photos developed somewhere else but for the convenience, this is the way to go.

How many of you take your memory card in and print every single photo off it? I bet you have a ton of photos that you never scrapbook. That’s why a Canon Selphy could become your favourite thing! You’re probably going to save money by only printing the photos you want to scrapbook instead of printing every single photo on your memory card or phone!

The printer sells for $100-$150 (you’ll see price fluctuations at Amazon). The ink sells for about $40. You get enough ink and paper for 108 prints in a package so that works out to about .37 per print. Not so bad when you’re only printing what you want.

I love that I can decide to work on a project at home and simply print out what I want to use.

Additionally, our local drugstore (the only place with a photo printer) is not compatible with my iPhone so there’s no getting last minute prints for me.

But now, with my Canon Selphy to the rescue; I am able to complete my projects with ease–and without waiting till I can get somewhere to get photos developed!

I definitely needed a Selphy printer! And I’m so glad I finally made the purchase.

What do you think? Would/is this printer at the top of your tool list? Do you print photos at home? What kind of printer do you use? Would you like a Canon Selphy printer?

  1. I have had mine for two years and love it. It is just like you say Pauline it is the convenience, I am waiting on ink for mine and I really miss it. I just got some prints from Blacks and if not 100 prints are about 37 cents a print.
